Random Fridays | Grand Central Station, NYC

Too many things I want to do. So little time to do them.

I wanted to post an end of the year review in pictures from my life back in December.  Alas, there is never enough time to do everything I want to. I was going back through the images that made the cut as my favorites, and I just fell in love with this one all over again.  Last year I went to New York City. Twice. The first time was a dream fulfilled.  It was amazing to finally visit this city that I had always longed to explore. But this image was taken on the second trip. The one that just the hubby and I went on. (The first was with the kids--and that trip was entirely different!) I loved the city the first time we went. This second trip made love New York that much more.

And looking at this image, it kind of reminds me of how life has been lately--a lot like Grand Central.  Very busy. Bustling with life. Always somewhere to be or someone to visit with. Lots of movement and busy-ness.

I'm looking forward to what 2013 holds. I hope to find peace and quiet.

And just be still for awhile.

My Photography Bucket List

Everyone knows what a bucket list is. In the back of my mind, I have a list of types of photography work I'd like to try someday. Some are mundane, but some are really exciting and I'd love to do any of them in any order! In any case, I felt the need to jot the ideas down so I don't forget. I'm sure I'll keep adding to it. If you'd like to help me cross any of these off, let me know! (Pretty sure I over-used the word 'any' in that paragraph).

  • Capturing a birth.
  • A proposal (Unbeknownst to the bride-to-be. Obviously).
  • High school seniors (Yes, I know this is boring, but I have yet to get the opportunity).
  • Models (Any maybe get published?--May be far-fetched?)
  • Photograph in a vineyard and on a farm (with an old barn)!
  • Trash the dress! YES! (Thanks Carrie!) - If you're not familiar, this is something a bride sometimes does after her wedding. She wears her wedding dress (or another really fancy frock) and does things like, ride a bicycle, get wet in a fountain or at the beach, or do other activities that she wouldn't otherwise do in her wedding gown. This would be so fun and creative!
  • Gender reveal. - Future parents host an event where they reveal the gender of their unborn baby. This can be done with pink or blue balloons, cutting a cake that is pink or blue in the center or coming out from behind a curtain in a pink or blue shirt. This can be done in a hundred different ways!
  • Find another local photog to partner with and do fun shoots with!
...and that's all I can think of at this point.
