"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."
This is such a popular verse. Lots of people have it read at their wedding. I love it, but I don't think I truly understood what this verse fully meant until the last year. Brooks and I have been married for four years and we have been through so much in that short amount of time. I am so glad that he is the person that God chose for me. I am thankful that I have him to journey through life with. I know things will change through the years. I know our love will grow stronger, I know that we'll have tough times. But I also know that since our love for each other is unconditional, and our love is a reflection of a much greater love--a love from the Father, who loves us more than we can imagine--our love will not fail.
